Connection Groups meet monthly and are designed to develop community and support between bereaved parents and parents of children with disabilities and/or rare diseases. They are designed to be a safe environment for all to share, coordinated by a group facilitator. We care, and we listen. Sessions allow parents to become less isolated and obtain relevant information to cope with challenges and celebrate triumphs. These groups can help:

Parent Connection Group 1 serves parents of children with disabilities and/or rare diseases. This group consists of parents who are paired with another parent of a child with disabilities and/or rare diseases. Each match forms a mentor/mentee relationship. This model offers parents the flexibility to meet with each other either virtually or in person.
Parent Connection Group 2 serves bereaved parents. It is led by David and Shayna Miles and consists of four in-person sessions throughout the year and individual sessions (as needed). Grief is lifelong, and we want to help you heal and find hope after your child passes away. We are here to provide friendship as you go through the natural grieving process.
These are the planned dates for Connection Group 2 to meet, but that does not mean we are unavailable if you need us. We are happy to meet one-on-one if you need to talk outside the scheduled support group dates.
